Just WOW. Loved everything about Valcarol. We went to Charlotte for the weekend and had heard about Valcarol from several others whom had done it. We had been slightly apprehensive before, as it is a little out of the way, and unfortunately many 'out of the way' places are that for a reason. Not here. Worth every extra mile! And let me tell you, the bang for the buck is REAL! Reminiscent of the many expensive rooms I've done on Orlando, Vegas and NY, this is price perfect and delivers in all the right ways! Immersion? Check. Amazing puzzles? Check. Great story? Double check. Fantastic GMs in character? Check. We were able to sit down and talk to the owners, and it seemed we instantly became old friends. Definitely a highlight of our trip, and a game that we will forever remember. Edited 6/2/2020: We made our way back to Valcarol for their 2nd room: The Secret Lab... how fun was this??!! We liked it even better than the 1st!! Can't wait to see the next one!

This place is 5 stars for a reason. Played many escape rooms across multiple states, this is the most impressive, immersive, and fun room I've attempted. Props are fantastic, the puzzles intuitive, by far the BEST use of technology I've encountered, I have no negatives. If you love escape rooms, this is the room for you. Will gladly make the drive when the next chapter opens! Done a dozen escape rooms in the Charlotte area, and this is the best.

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! I think this is my favorite escape room yet. I have done about 10 and you can tell someone poured their heart and soul into creating this escape! It is sci-fi / fantasy and fed this geeks need for challenges. I really liked that your escape-ability was up to you. If you were determined to escape, Mission Command was there to guide you. If you do not want help, mission command will leave you be. We had a 10 year old, a 15 and 17 year old, three 30 year olds and a grandma. All loved it AND contributed! I considered doing this escape 2 years ago with my girls but decided they were too young. I was WRONG!!! It is amazing to see how much the younger ones contribute. Worth it!!!

You need to go here! Hands down one of the most awesome escape rooms EVER! The rooms are gorgeous, the gameplay is complex and fits into the story line, and the pair running it might be two of the nicest people I've ever met. I already can't wait to go back and see what they come up with next.

If the shirts didn't give it a way, we're a group of enthusiasts that travel the country to do escape rooms. We traveled back to Charlotte to try the sequel to our favorite (but now retired) room and did 9 others over 2 days. This was easily our favorite. The staff clearly have passion for their room and it shows. The puzzles all felt natural and right on theme - no sea of combo-locks and key-locks here. They're also a bunch of fun. The sets are beautiful and interactive. Gameplay is non-linear, so our group of 6 had plenty to do the entire time. We will certainly travel back to The Valcarol Missions as they open new rooms!

My wife and I stumbled across this gem and the experience was absolutely amazing. The design is great, the puzzles are well thought out and we can't wait to explore the other rooms. There is nothing to be afraid of so bring the children. A great series of brain games so prepare to be stumped and have a good time. #Valcarol #lit #Escaperoom

This was an awesome adventure. Me and my wife have done more than 50 escape rooms around the country, and this is in my top 3 favorite rooms. The uniqueness and quality of everything is outstanding. You won’t find your average lock and key puzzles that make some escape rooms fade from memory after a only couple days. I will definitely be returning as new missions become available. I urge anyone who has an interest in escape rooms be it your first time, or a seasoned veteran, you will find a great experience here.

One word, “wow!”. My girlfriend and I had gone out with another couple and wanted to do something a little different. We found Valcarol and decided to give it a try. Every square inch of the 3 part room was custom, hand made. From props to the actual walls. Not your usual lock and keys, there are multiple touch screens throughout. They have put so much thought into each segment. I can’t wait to go back and do the other room!

The Crystal Cave is one of the most high tech rooms we have encountered in NC which is very unique in a wonderful way. If you have done or want to do any high tech escape rooms in Los Angeles then you should definitely do this room. There are many creative and fun puzzles to complete. This room is perfect for 2 or more players. The owners are friendly and professional. Added bonus is that they are escape room enthusiasts and care about each player's experience.

If you love or just want to try a escape room, look no further. I drove by the Gibson Mill almost everyday and i saw the reviews and wanted to try it for myself. Our group did a few escape rooms in Florida. This was the first time my 6 years old went with us but my 9 year old loves them.. The Crystal Cave Mission and it was amazing! The reviews you read are 100% accurate, this place really has done a great job making sure you get a truly remarkable time. Cleverly crafted, sounds, visuals, electronics, very impressed!!! The facility was flawless, just like the staff. Thank You for a great experience. We will definitely be back to complete The Hidden Lab Mission very soon and can't wait for The Sabotaged System Mission and The Time Travel Mission to come out!! If I could give this 10 stars I would.

My family and I completed the Cave Valcarol mission today and it was so much fun! I was impressed with all the COVID safety protocols they have in place and the cleanliness, as it helped my family be able to have a better time knowing that was in place. The room was amazing, with sound effects and all kinds of puzzles. You really did feel like you were in a cave! Definitely wasn’t your standard lock and key room- it was awesome! We will definitely be signing up for another Valcarol room in the future! In addition to all that, the staff/owners were very nice and helpful, which added to the positive experience.
